Twist it, squish it, splash it—then learn why it all works! This hands-on beginner tie-dye class is perfect for kids (and parents!) who want to mix creativity with a little science.
We’ll cover:
• Soda ash soak
• Color wheel tips
• Simple folding styles (spirals, bullseyes, stripes & spots)
• Hands-on dyeing with your own shirt
• Rinse-out instructions for home

Kids will get to practice on smaller fabric first before dyeing their final creation! So they can really see the way the dyes react with the fabric! There are also optional pre and post class worksheets to add in as much education into the fun as we can!

• $25 per child
• Parents: if there is still space open a week from the event, we will open it up to parents! We want to make sure we can fit in as many kids as possible!
• Recommended Ages 7–12 (younger kids welcome with a grown-up helper; older kids welcome as well! we also offer teen + adult classes!)

Because this is a safe space for folks who truly need it, the exact address will be shared after registration. It’s about 5 minutes northeast of downtown KC! There’s also a decent-sized fenced yard connected to the indoor space, where I’ll have giant bubbles and bubble wands set up for anyone hanging out while the dyers do their thing!
